- Pré-demande on passeport.ants.gouv.fr; buy the timbre (timbres.impots.gouv.fr).
- RDV in a mairie équipée; bring originals; fingerprints taken.
- Collect within 3 months of notification or the passport is destroyed.
Pièces justificatives
- Photo agréée < 6 months, justificatif de domicile < 1 an, timbre number, valid CNI
(or expired < 5 years); otherwise acte de naissance < 3 months unless the commune is

Délais et échéances
- Timbre: adult 86 €, minor 15–17 42 €, minor < 15 17 € (métropole, as of 2026 — confirm current amounts). Validity 10 years (adult) / 5 (minor).

Pièges connus
- Buying the wrong timbre category, or a year early (validity 1 year).
